This is me 🤦♀️ I don’t know why this feels so uncomfortable to talk about myself but the struggle to open up is real!
I’ve never been good at talking about myself and sharing personal details. I’m a confident introvert! I never seek to fill a conversation with my own voice. I prefer to listen and observe. I think this also makes me good at capturing candid moments. I like to hide behind my camera & observe quietly and pounce on those moments when they happen quickly.
I started my career in advertising and after seven years transitioned to making photography my main gig, after having my first child.
I’ve been documenting families, relationships and events for 10 years. I’ve also been a mother for 10 years. I’ve photographed all kinds of portraits throughout my time as a self-taught photographer. I believe that experience, both in life and skill, makes you better at your craft.
I am so grateful that I get to do this!
I share my life with my junior high sweetheart. We have a 10 year old daughter and 5 year old son. My kids are legitimately the best! I feel so much pride over having had a part in raising them.
Most days you can find me driving my kids around to school, activities, keeping up with their social life, doing my best to stay healthy with exercise, cooking for my family, photographing humans & events, spending more time on my computer editing than I’d like and generally doing my best to keep my head above water while keeping up with motherhood and a small home-based business. The struggle is real, but so worth it!
I was born and raised in Bulgaria (it’s a tiny country above Greece). My family also lived in Germany for a short time before coming to Canada. I feel so blessed to call Canada home and be able to pursue opportunities that have been made possible by living here. The vision my parents had and risks they took to take control of their future is something I’ll always be so grateful for.
I am the luckiest. Life is good...
